The treaty creates a nuclear weapon free zone covering the territories and continental shelves and exclusive economic zones of Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The treaty prohibits production, acquisition, possession, testing, transporting, stationing, or control of nuclear weapons and encouragement of those acts. In addition, there can be no fissile material or related equipment and no dumping or storage of radioactive material.
Signed in Bangkok on December 15, 1995, by all the above states.
