The PNND Annual Forum will be held in Vancouver, Canada June 27 as part of the World Peace Forum, a major international meeting of individuals, groups and civic governments from cities and communities worldwide being held from June 23-28 and supported by the City of Vancouver .

 

The PNND annual forum will provide an opportunity to meet other members of PNND, learn about the latest developments in nuclear nonproliferation and disarmament, share ideas and information on parliamentary actions and discuss the development of the network. The Forum will consist of two sessions:

 

1:30 pm         Roundtable on Mayors' and Parliamentarians Actions for Nuclear Disarmament

Venue: University of British Columbia, Student Union Ballroom
Description: An open forum for mayors, parliamentarians and NGO's which are working closely with mayors and parliamentarians to share examples of their actions.

4:00 pm         Parliamentary Network for Nuclear Disarmament Annual Forum

Venue: University of British Columbia, Student Union Council Chambers
Description: This is a meeting for PNND members. PNND supporters may attend as observers (space allowing). The meeting will consider parliamentary initiatives for nuclear nonproliferation and disarmament, and PNND development - including National Sections and the establishment of a PNND Council.
